Summer Reading 2014-2015

Summer is the time to take a break and rejuvenate, but it can also be a time where students fall out of the routine of reading.

Summer Reading is an important activity to keep students learning and growing during the break.

In order to simplify our program for Summer Reading, a few changes have been made.

Students who will be in grades 1-5 in the fall have been given specific titles to read.

Students who will be in grades 6-8 have one title that all students will read, and they will choose one title from the Louisiana Young Readers' Choice Nominee List for a total of two books in all.

We always encourage the students to read beyond the goal that as been set for them. Therefore, when students come for the tesing dates in the summer, they may take quizzes on more than just the required titles.

All AR Quizzes taken this summer will count toward the first quarter goal.

To find out the Accelerated Reader information for specific titles, visit AR BOOK FINDER.
